We are delighted by the unprecedented amount of interest in our school for the 08-09 school year. As we work hard to place those children with applications already on file, we have closed admissions. For those applying for the 09-10 academic year, tours and child visits are scheduled by appointment through our office beginning October. Listed below is an overview of the admissions process which is designed to help familiarize you with the programs available at West End Montessori School (WEMS).

            Completing the Application

A complete admissions file for WEMS includes an application, $50.00 fee, and attendance at one of our observation tours and child interview visits.

            Attending a Tour

Tours are scheduled by appointment and are for adults only. On a Classroom Tour, you will spend 30 minutes visiting the classrooms and watching our program in action. We speak in depth about the Montessori curriculum and answer any questions you might have.

            Attending a Child Visit

The visit provides an opportunity for our staff to work directly with your child to evaluate language and his/her ability to follow directions. They also help our faculty understand your child’s individual academic needs and assess where your child’s placement would be most successful in our program. After we have received your application, we will call to schedule your child’s visit day. Visits are scheduled in March for the following September enrollment.
